About
Why fantasy and mythology
Mythology art often draws inspiration from the myths and legends of various cultures and civilizations, depicting gods, goddesses, heroes, and other mythological figures. Fantasy art, on the other hand, tends to be more imaginative and can include elements from a variety of mythologies and folklore traditions, as well as completely original creations.
Both fantasy and mythology art often feature a strong sense of storytelling, with many works depicting dramatic scenes and elaborate plots. They may also incorporate elements of symbolism and allegory, exploring deeper themes and ideas through their imagery.
Fantasy and mythology art has a long history, with examples dating back to ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Scandinavia, Greece and Rome. It is a rich and diverse genre that allows artists to explore their imaginations and create works of beauty and wonder.
My inspirations are the likes of J. R. R. Tolkien, Andrzej Sapkowski, Jacques Collin de Plancy, Erich von Däniken, etc. I also like to read different ancient religious texts, especially apocrypha.
Certain parts of this website dive into subjects that some viewers may find disturbing, but rest assured that my content is meant to be educational and imaginative in nature and does not represent my personal beliefs, nor does it question anyone else's.
Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisioned by the enemy, don't we consider it his duty to escape? If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we're partisans of liberty, then it's our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!
